Global travel technology firm, CarTrawler held its annual Winter Conference in Powerscourt Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The conference brings together over 100 of the worlds’ top corporate and independent suppliers from the car rental and mobility industries. The theme of the event was ‘Bringing Opportunities to Life,’ and throughout the day, CarTrawler showcased the way in which it facilitates opportunities at the intersection between Partners, Suppliers and Customers.
CarTrawler’s CEO Cormac Barry welcomed the audience to Powerscourt and spoke of the unique viewpoint the technology company has over the industry, bringing opportunities to life for Partners, Suppliers and Customers. One of CarTrawler’s core values is the belief that relationships make the difference, and it is these relationships that ensure an open dialogue between CarTrawler and its key stakeholders.
The first speaker of the morning saw Louise Fowler, an alum of British Airways, remind the audience on the importance of looking at your customer from the outside in. She stressed the importance of sharing value with the customer, rather than trying to make all the value out of the customer. A variety of keynote talks were tailored for the audience of global car rental suppliers, delivered by the CarTrawler leadership team and industry experts. They provided the audience with insights on subjects including market and consumer trends, monetizing CRM and merchandising and a look at how CarTrawler drives innovation in the area of Product and Technology.
One of the highlights of the event was the announcement of the winners of the annual CarTrawler Customer Satisfaction Awards. These awards acknowledge and commend the efforts of independent and corporate car rental suppliers and award those who have excelled in raising customer satisfaction at an industry-wide level. Michael Nolan, CarTrawler’s Chief Customer Officer, was on hand to present the awards and prefaced the announcement with CarTrawler’s ongoing commitment to raising the bar of customer satisfaction in collaboration with its car rental suppliers. This is an evolving process, managed through the SQiP initiative (Supplier Quality Improvement Process), which is a proactive and engaging process for driving change and improvement in the industry. Chosen from over 1,600 global car rental suppliers, these awards recognize the top nine suppliers who have made continuous improvements to raise the overall level of customer satisfaction in the car rental and travel industry.
