Communications and Thought Leadership Specialist

What are we looking for?

The Communications and Thought Leadership Specialist will be responsible for CarTrawler`s Brand Communication Strategy and leading a forward-looking Thought Leadership agenda that strengthens CarTrawler`s position as a market leader and builds on our reputation as an innovator. As a member of our Product & Brand Marketing team, you will be working for a cutting-edge technology company. You will be an innovative thinker who brings new ideas and strategies that align with the overall Product and Brand Marketing Strategy.

What you will be doing?

Communications

-Building relationships with journalists, external thought leaders and industry distribution channels to ensure CarTrawler has the best possible network and relationships to leverage
-Developing CarTrawler`s B2B Communication Strategy
-Building relationships with international PR agents in order to distribute key external communications
-Managing CarTrawler`s reactive PR process to ensure the best outcomes
-Defining and executing a best in class partner launch strategy for new strategic partners to maximise market exposure to build CarTrawler`s brand value
-Writing & distributing press releases for new partner signings, product launches, company news and sponsored content
-Refining and executing CarTrawler`s Leadership Team Communication Strategy
-Maintaining CarTrawler`s voice & brand throughout all communications and messaging



Thought Leadership

-Strategising, planning and developing multi-form original, value-add and thought leadership content: case studies, whitepapers, blogs, long-form copy, infographics, social media content etc.
-Recognising and developing thought leaders within CarTrawler
-Working closely with senior stakeholders to translate their company vision, as well as collaborating on content with internal thought leaders and subject matter experts.
-Developing thought leadership themes for external speaking engagements and CarTrawler conferences
-Securing speaking engagements to elevate thoughts leaders within CarTrawler (outside of sponsored events)
-Researching opportunities for internal thought leaders and the Leadership Team to give keynote speeches and participate in panel discussions or Q&As at industry conferences
-Creating insightful, thought-provoking point-of-view related presentations and written content
-Highlighting opportunities to partner with CarTrawler clients to showcase partner success stories at both industry and CarTrawler conferences
-Ensuring the best awareness of current technology and travel market trends
-Owning external thought leadership relationships to ensure we maximise their value

Skills required:

-5-10 years B2B experience in a similar role with proven published content experience (portfolio)
-Bachelor`s Degree in Media, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing
-A keen eye for detail and strong editorial experience: Reviewing, proofing and optimising outbound content
-Superior oral and written communication skills with proven experience in generating excitement for a technology company`s offering across a variety of audiences
-Press release creation & experience dealing with media outlets.
-Background in the technology industry with the ability to understand and communicate technical products and to interface with technical colleagues
-Travel industry experience is favourable but not essential
-Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task across numerous projects. You understand how to plan effectively, prioritize tasks and respond quickly to time-sensitive engagements.
