Commercial Contracts Manager

What are we looking for?

Reporting to the Director of Supply and Insurance the Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring the supply function has a strong, consistent and well-communicated contractual framework in place. They will assist in contract negotiation, coordinate and communicate key commercial contract issues across with company and work in a cross-functional environment to ensure our practices and systems accurately reflect the terms and conditions of our contracts.

What you will be doing?

-Review key supply contract topics and coordinate discussion cross-functionally, with escalation to senior management as necessary
-Provide support to COO, Director and Heads of in the supply department in terms of contract negotiation
-Track and monitor insurance contracts, car supply contracts & rebate contracts - follow up on key contract dates, monitor renegotiation timelines, cross-check contracts to ensure consistency
-Communicate any material updates or changes to contracts across the wider business in an easily understood manner
-Create a contracts approval framework which ensures all relevant sign offs are obtained for new contracts / renewals
-Work closely with wider Supply team to tackle contractual issues as they arise, with a focus on pragmatic problem solving.
-Work closely with the legal team to roll out template contracts in independent supply
-Act as the centralised owner of any change requests in respect of template contracts
-Oversee the roll out of standard insurance contracts to new jurisdictions
-Administer and coordinate contract extensions, addendums etc as necessary
-Proactively champion the effective roll out of the contract management systems across car and insurance supply
-Ensure contractual terms are correctly loaded in to our systems
-Work cross-functionally to periodically monitor compliance with supply contracts in our systems/practices

Skills required:

-Experience of 2/3 years in a similar role or environment
-Strong project management skills
-Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
-Experience in contract management and implementing controls and systems in relation to same
-Commercial awareness regarding contracts - familiarity with key contract terms and commercial structures
-High integrity, communication and negotiation skills
-Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
-Proficient with Excel, previous experience with contract management systems an advantage
-Ability to prioritise workloads according to business focus and opportunity
-Process driven individual with a strong attention to detail
