Market Analyst

What are we looking for?

Market Analyst is a role within a dynamic, fast paced area of the business, responsible for ensuring that the company holds a competitive position across the various destinations and markets. The individual will be responsible for ensuring we have the availability from our car rental suppliers (e.g. Hertz, Avis) in line with our competitors, with the right mix and balance of rate types, car types, rental durations, promotions and that this content is optimised to deliver a sustainable revenue plan.

What you will be doing?

-Support Supply and the Marketplace Squad team in achieving incremental revenue on opportunities by highlighting content or rate related issues,
-Understand market trends, monitor and track the levers to deliver revenue planned and turn these into actions to improve performance,
-Monitor regions, markets and suppliers within the Metasearch Partners and assess gaps that need to be addressed,
-Work cross-functionally and maintain strong relationships with the appropriate team to find the best solution to address gaps,
-Identify and monitoring trading indicators to assess our competitive position in market and take actions to improve total revenue or take advantages of tactical opportunities
-Identify inefficiencies in day-today operations and make recommendations for process improvements,
-Provide meaningful, data-driven insights to supply team to enable them monitor our competitive offerings from suppliers
-share best practise and knowledge across the team

Skills required:

-Knowledge of the Car Rental/Travel industry is desirable
-Advance Excel, previous experience with Tableau and advantage
-Previous experience with SQL a benefit but not essential
-Strong attention to details and ability to understand commercial indicators
-Strong analytical skills and good organisations skills (set priorities based on relative importance and urgency
-Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and cross-functionally
-Holds self-accountable for ensuring that results are achieved
-Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
-Demonstrates excellent communication skills
-Ability to prioritise workloads according to business focus and opportunity
-Exhibits enthusiasm, positive professional attitude, integrity and reliability
