The purpose of your role:  
To support the Finance Business Partnering team (FBP’s) in making better and more informed decisions. Your role as part is to provide 'real time' financial analysis and support which will assist our FBP’s and in turn wider departments in making effective decisions. For an applicant to be successful in this role it is critical to be a self-starter who is driven by solving problems and understanding business drivers. As a Finance analyst you will be expected to analyse economic and business trends, review past company performance, and attempt to anticipate obstacles and potential problems, all with an eye toward forecasting CarTrawlers future financial results. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to gain commercial exposure and grow their experience in areas such as finance business partnering and commercial finance.
Key duties and responsibilities:
§  Own the production of a suite of reports for the Finance Business Partnering team, working with the relevant business partner to understand any deviations in company performance vs Plan, Prior year and Forecast at the relevant granularity throughout a month.
§  Contribute into the production of monthly/quarterly Financial performance packs for the LT and Company Board meetings
§  Perform adhoc insightful analysis into deviations of company performance; with an ability to make informed assumptions on a timely basis and deliver an overall recommendation
§  Design and improve the financial models for your areas of responsibility which are financial inputs for reporting, planning and forecasting cycles
§  Develop a strong relationship with the Finance Business Partnering team to ensure that any Financial data they are using is aligned with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team methodologies
§  Support with the annual planning process, 3 year plans and quarterly Forecasts with the timely completion of the relevant Planning/Forecasting financial models and templates
§  Support the short and long term operational/strategic business decisions through financial analysis and recommendations to allow informed decision making
§  Drive continual process improvements leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation to scale the business.
§  Ability to benchmark CarTrawler performance against the external market, ensuring performance trends are unearthed and contextualised
Qualifications and experience:
§  A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is desirable.
§  Minimum of 2 years PQE (ACA/CIMA/ACCA); with previous experience in an FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or similar commercial finance roles.
§  Excellent commercial and financial acumen with experience in understanding and breaking down complex data and processes.
§  High proficiency in financial modelling.
§  Systems experience such as Tableau and/or with an Enterprise Performance Management is an advantage.
§  Intermediate/Advanced with MS Office packages, advanced Excel skills and integrated accounting systems experience.
§  Capable of building relationships with key finance and non-finance stakeholders
§  Experience with Structured Language Query (SQL) is an advantage.

§  Team player with a proven track record of working in a highly collaborative environment with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
§  Ability to prioritise workload effectively to ensure objectives are met successfully and on time.
§  Excellent inter-personal (written & oral communication) and presentation skills with ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
