Paid Search and Affiliate Marketing Specialist

Directly Responsible to: Paid Search and Affiliate Marketing Manager
The Paid Search and Affiliate Marketing Specialist manages paid search (e.g. Google Ads & Microsoft Advertising) and affiliate marketing activity in-house for multiple brands and source markets to drive profitable revenue growth for CarTrawler. They proactively manage their campaigns, ensuring campaigns are set up in line with best practice, growth opportunities are identified and actioned, and performance is communicated and contextualised.
Main Accountabilities & Key Tasks
§ Take the lead on management and optimisation of Affiliate Marketing activity (e.g. relationships, engagement, recruitment, commercials, conversion, content, creative, campaigns, payments)
§ Support on management and optimisation of Paid Search activity (e.g. account structure, keywords, audiences, ads, conversion, bid management)
§ Achieve KPI targets.
§ Input into strategy and process improvements.
§ Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. team, trading squad) and external stakeholders (e.g. affiliate networks, direct affiliates, search engines, potential B2B partners) to achieve shared goals.
§ Landing page creation and optimisation and input into conversion optimisation.
§ Marketing technology implementation, monitoring, fixing (e.g. tracking, conversion, automation).
§ Reporting and analytics.
§ Localisation of campaigns across languages and regions.
§ Industry and competitor monitoring and analysis.
§ Digital & Merchandising Team – work with copywriters and designers
§ Trading Squad - work with commercial lead and other trading specialists
Knowledge and Experience:
· At least 2 years’ hands on experience managing affiliate marketing campaigns and paid search campaigns with large budgets.
· Proven track record of reaching and exceeding KPI targets.
· Strong analytical skills, with the demonstrated ability to extract key insights from data to identify opportunities and derive actions.
· Intermediate expertise in Excel.
· Working knowledge of marketing technology, conversion optimisation and web analytics practices.
