Cormac Barry joined CarTrawler as Chief Executive Officer in April 2018. Prior to this, he held the position of CEO for 7 years at Sportbet, the Australian division of Paddy Power Betfair. A veteran of the online gambling industry for 15-plus years, Cormac was part of the team that set up paddypower.com and made it one of the most successful online betting operations in the UK and Ireland.
Cormac is a people focused leader who believes that if you create the right working environment and a culture that enables people to grow and develop, success will follow.
Cormac is a non-executive director of his family’s retail bookshop business Dubray Books, which is a chain of eight bookshops in Ireland.
A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Cormac holds a BA in Economics and Politics.
Bobby Healy is an experienced inventor and technology entrepreneur specialising in booking engine software. He joined CarTrawler in 2005 having begun his career building computer games for Nintendo at 16 years of age.
Prior to joining CarTrawler, Bobby founded Eland Technologies which he later sold to airline technology giant SITA and remained as CTO until 2005. His booking solutions are now in use by 80% of the world’s top 20 airlines.
Bobby continues to be an avid computer programmer and is a frequent speaker on the international circuit on subjects related to technology in the airline industry, ancillary revenue and online distribution.
Aileen McCormack is CarTrawler’s Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Aileen overseas growth and commercial success in all aspects of business development worldwide including sales, marketing, strategic business and partner management.
Aileen has been part of CarTrawler’s senior leadership team since 2012 having previously held key management roles within the Commercial Team including Head of Strategic Business Development and most recently, Director of Strategic Business. Prior to joining CarTrawler, Aileen was Deputy Head of Ancillary Revenue at Ryanair.
During her time at CarTrawler, Aileen has been instrumental in the significant growth and expansion of CarTrawler’s airline partnerships and developed significant expertise in ancillary revenue and income generation for travel businesses outside of their core revenue model.
She is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Selling.
Gillian French has been part of the senior leadership team at CarTrawler since 2007. She joined the company during its infancy and has since developed a deep understanding of the business having worked across numerous functions. Of particular note has been Gillian’s development and ongoing championing of the values and culture that have become synonymous with CarTrawler and that have helped the company establish a reputation as a top employer in Dublin’s competitive employment marketplace.
In November 2013, Gillian was appointed to the Executive Board as Chief People Officer. She has responsibility for supporting company growth through specialist team resourcing, training and development. She also leads a team of over 200 people in CarTrawler’s Customer Centre of Excellence and heads up CarTrawler’s CSR programme.
Gillian has previously held senior positions in Jurys Hotel Group. She holds a Master’s in Business, a BA Degree in Travel & Tourism and Postgraduate Diplomas in Executive Coaching and Strategic Human Resources and Organizational behavior.
Peter O’Donovan joined CarTrawler as Chief Product Officer (CPO) in 2016 having spent 14 years at Paddy Power where he led the online business, driving significant growth and revenue generation. Peter is a proven commercial, technology and people leader in the dynamic and competitive digital sector.
As CarTrawler’s Chief Product Officer, Peter leads the B2C Brands business, IT function and the UX function which is responsible for driving and executing the product strategy.
Peter is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Management Science and Information Systems and also holds an M.Sc.in Digital Multimedia.
Adam Miller joined CarTrawler as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) in 2016 having spent seven years at Expedia, where he most recently held the role of Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) in London, the B2B arm of Expedia. Adam also started, built and ran the Strategy, Analytics and Supply functions at EAN. Previously, he was part of the new business development team at Hotwire in San Francisco
Prior to joining Expedia, Adam worked in Consulting, Investment Banking/Equity Research and founded a financial services start-up that was subsequently sold to Reuters.
As CarTrawler’s Chief Revenue Officer, Adam is responsible for the supply, revenue management, data science and insurance functions within the business.
Adam holds both a Juris Doctor and a BS in Business Economics from the University of Arizona.
Michael Nolan is CarTrawler’s Chief Customer Officer. In this role, Michael leads the company’s focus on loyalty, satisfaction and retention across the customer experience. He has responsibility for maintaining a corporate culture whereby the customer is at the heart of the company, and he influences corporate strategy with regard to suppliers and regulators where customers are concerned.
Prior to joining CarTrawler, Michael was Chief Product Officer at eShopWorld, an Irish eCommerce company that was Ireland’s fastest growing company for the 3 years Michael was there. He was responsible for creating and developing the Product, Client Implementation, Business Intelligence and eCommerce Operations teams.
Michael also held the position of Head of Customer Operations at Paddy Power where he spent 6 years leading the award winning Customer Operations side of the business.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Law from UCD and Post Graduate Diplomas from the Michael Smurfit Business School and UCC.
David Cotter has been CarTrawler’s Chief Financial Officer since January 2018. He joined the company in January 2017 and was previously responsible for Car, Ground Transportation and Insurance Supply along with strategic projects for the company.
Prior to joining CarTrawler, David worked for Paddy Power Betfair where he was Director of Corporate Development with responsibility for executing the global expansion strategy of the business along with all M&A activity. David has also worked at LivingBridge, a UK private equity fund, investing in SME’s across technology, consumer and business services sectors and spent a number of years investing in the hospitality sector in Latin America. David originally qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, Dublin.
As Chief Financial Officer, David is responsible for finance, legal and corporate development. David is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
